Faculty Student Interaction Grants (FSIGs) are awarded to instructors who plan to interact with students in a creative manner outside of the classroom. The grants foster relationships between instructors and their students and enrich the learning experience outside of the classroom. Typically, these grants are used for dinners, class trips, museum and theater entrance fees, and transportation expenses.  This funding program is available to faculty members, teaching assistants, and Cavalier Education instructors.

Although amounts vary, grants are usually awarded for $250-$500. There is no limit on the number of events an instructor may seek funding for per semester.

To apply, use our online funding system. If at all possible, requests should be submitted at least three weeks prior to the proposed expenditure. For help with our funding system, please see our Funding System FAQ.
